  • Grantwriter

We realize the importance of having funds to reward and compensate our volunteers and fosters. Currently we do not have assistance in fundraising nor do we have a grantwriter. We are so fortunate we have donors who have been the LIFE of our nonprofit. We are a unique Animal Rescue foundation whose Founder provides hands-on-training for animals we save, thus this is alot of work hands on with the animals. We could really benefit by having the assistance of a grantwriter who has an ability to hear the ways we are making a difference in not only animals but humans who use our dogs to increase their health and happiness, wellness for life. Of course we shall reward you by offering you a percentage of any grant you should help us with. Thank you, in advance, on behalf of the humans and animals we help advance and survive.

It's Flexible! We'll work with your schedule

Hospice volunteers give their time and talents to help the patients and families served by Constellation Health Services. Volunteers perform many important duties. Whether providing companionship in a patient’s home or facility, volunteers play a vital role that enables the hospice to more fully meet the community’s needs. Volunteers provide companionship to both the patient and family caregiver. They are a caring, friendly face for conversation, reading, playing games, watching TV, listening to music, and sharing stories. Volunteer visits may also offer respite to the family caregiver, who can take a break from caregiving while the volunteer is visiting. Constellation patient visit volunteers need not have any special abilities, all we ask is for reliability and compassion. However, we are open to trained Reiki Masters, pet therapists, musicians, etc. Masks, hand sanitizer, and other PPD provided.

Ever wonder how you can help? Ever feel alone yourself? consider that there are folks out there that would LOVE to have chat with you, go with you to the grocery store or just sit together and talk about the Good Old Days ...If all of us gave one hour of your time to another We could eliminate so much loneliness, isolation and food insecurities. Consider volunteering in a program today. Our Friendly Visitor Program offers an opportunity to visit someone in their home. folks are looking for a connection with someone willing to sit with them and have a conversation and fill the void of a limited social network. some individuals would love to go to the grocery store and pick out their own food instead of having it delivered or pay someone to pick it up. and how about going for a walk, the senior center and/or the gym! Our Non-Emergency Medical Chaperone Program offers companionship to individuals while traveling to and from their doctor appointments. some folks need a little encouragement and support in getting to and from their appointments as transportation services are curb to curb and they may need help getting to that curb. It is amazing how just a few hours of your time and attention can make a world of difference to another person within your own community. Volunteers need to be over the age of 21, complete and application, pass a background check, which requires a government issued ID, and Social Security, and we request proof of Covid vaccination. Training is provided by the Agency on Aging of South Central CT’s Volunteer program. Give us a call and see who's looking for support in your area.
