That still leaves you with 167 hours a week to spare. For 15 years Social Call has been working towards ending isolation and loneliness amongst older adults. So, you can trust that you're giving your time to a non-profit that is safe and purposeful. Social Call works to connect older adults in need of social connection to volunteers that would like to donate 30 minutes - 1 hour a week of their time. Connections are over the phone or on a video call so rest assured you can fulfill your obligation from home or even on a lunch break. The best part about Social Call is how thoughtful we are when making matches! Many of our matches result in lasting friendships. Because of our unique onboarding process for both volunteers and participants, we are able to connect you with a participant that will likely become your good friend. Our matches are intentionally made to create reciprocal bonds. Also matches are made during your availability, whether you have time to connect first thing in the morning, during your lunch, or right before calling it a night! Social Call is available all throughout the U.S. so be prepared to learn new things and meet some amazing human beings! Remember the days of pen pals and how fun that was? This is so much better! Por lo tanto, puede confiar en que está dedicando su tiempo a una organización sin fines de lucro que es segura y tiene un propósito. Social Call trabaja para conectar a adultos mayores que necesitan una conexión social con voluntarios que quisieran donar entre 30 minutos y 1 hora a la semana de su tiempo. Las conexiones se realizan por teléfono o mediante videollamada, así que tenga la seguridad de que podrá cumplir con su obligación desde casa o incluso durante la pausa del almuerzo. ¡La mejor parte de Social Call es lo atentos que somos al hacer conexiones! Muchos de nuestros partidos resultan en amistades duraderas. We need engaging, passionate volunteers who want so share their expertise and group conversation skills in areas such as: Arts/Creativity and Music Science/Technology Literature and Writing Games/Hobbies Philosophy/Spirituality/History Languages Travel If you love to facilitate groups, connect and engage with others, or are passionate about sharing your expertise in a particular field, join us from the comfort of your own home. All you need is a telephone or online device, attend a one-hour training and commit to spending as much time that will work with your schedule. Well Connected offers programs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. PT every day of the year!
