Workshop Assistant: Use your knowledge to help small business owners learn critical skills

Chapter 15, serving Essex, Union and Hudson counties in New Jersey, is currently looking for volunteers to work with our Workshops and Events committee. These volunteers are assigned based on their unique skills and are welcome to assist with leadership and chapter support tasks-they really are the backbone of the organization. Note that all volunteer positions require you to join SCORE and Chapter 15 and that online training and certification is required.

SCORE workshop assistants share their business acumen with their local community by helping to lead educational workshops and seminars.

As a workshop assistant, you’ll:

• manage presentations in your community
• Facilitate roundtable discussions
• assist in running educational seminars, meetups and other networking events
• Track the statistics on your workshop program
