As the Constant Contact Communications Specialist you would be assisting the SCORE Miami-Dade chapter with email marketing, internal and external communication, and participate in event and communications calls for the chapter. SCORE Miami-Dade provides resources for free, or at minimal cost, to small business owners to help them expand and grow their business. By volunteering in this role, you would make a significant impact within your local community because you would be ensuring that our clients are aware of upcoming or new workshops, events, and resources. Familiarity with Constant Contact, an email marketing platform, is required. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Create webinar/workshop promotions in Constant Contact. Ensure all webinar/workshop information entered is correct. This includes reviewing the following components of an event: - Registration page - Invitation email - Reminder email - Registration question The amount of time associated with this task can vary depending on whether a webinar/workshop is introducing a new topic, is an existing webinar/workshop that can be copied over, or an old webinar/workshop needing new branding. Task also requires gathering accompanying information for the event (e.g., topic summary, speaker biography) Send email newsletters to chapter’s distribution list - Weekly email featuring upcoming webinar/workshop and relevant resources - Monthly newsletter: This is a pre-made template, but local information will need to be incorporated before distribution - Miscellaneous email for special communications Conduct analysis and research to identify content for weekly newsletter and review data to gauge communication effectiveness (e.g., click rates, open rates) Other tasks - Participate in 1 to 3 calls/week discussing emails for the chapter and district - Participate on the monthly Event Committee calls This volunteer position requires between 12-16 hrs/month. Need volunteers to greet and register Clients attending 90 minute small business educational workshops. Workshops usually start at 6:00PM, Workshop Assistant needs to arrive 30 minutes ahead to check presentation material is ready, setup registration table. Foe Webinars the Moderator needs to have knowledge of using Zoom, and if they don't have knowledge of Zoom, be tech savvy enough so they can learn. The moderator needs to introduce SCORE, followed by introducing themselves and the Presenter. Passes on the session to the Presenter. During the Zoom presentation they need to be on the lookout for questions and bring them up to the Presenter. The Presenter will also share with the Moderator how they want to conduct their webinars. Some presenters drop polls during their presentations and they will need to support the Presenter. They also help moderate the Q&A session at the end of the Webinar and close out the session.

Key responsibilities of this role are to: Communicate with the Executive Committee to keep them abreast of new initiatives and developments within the National Diversity and Inclusion group, Assist the Chapter in developing Diversity and Inclusion goals and activities for the chapter Monitor progress and results through volunteer demographic data. Join the Leadership Team and assist with Chapter Administration responsibilities. Support Community Engagement Activities and Community Partner Activities. Key requirements; need to have a computer with up-to-date office software and knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and running virtual meetings. Most of the work can be done virtually on SCORE's dedicated platform. Weekly time commitment: Total of 2 to 4 hours per week (30 minutes to 1 hour per day).

Newsletter Organizer - SCORE Miami is looking for a volunteer to coordinate, organize, proof, coordinate and occasionally write chapter articles for our monthly newsletter. Key requirements; need to have a computer with up-to-date office software and knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and know how to post in Constant Contact. Will need to run virtual meetings. Strong written and verbal communication are essential. Time commitment is approximately 8 to 10 flexible hours per month.
