WOCOTM Is looking for a volunteer counselors who treat people with substance use disorders do life-changing work on a daily basis, amid difficult circumstances within addition of drugs and alcoholism.. Counselors come to this important work by various paths and with vastly different skills and experience. The diversity of backgrounds and types of preparation can be a strength, provided there is a common foundation from which counselors work. This publication addresses the following questions: What professional standards should guide substance abuse treatment counselors. Focus on appropriate scope of practice for the field? Focus on competencies are associated with positive outcome. Focus on knowledge, skills, and attitudes should all substance abuse treatment professionals have in common. Serves as a liaison between the recovery community, the addiction treatment system, the medical treatment system, and the patient’s community, family, and social context to facilitate connections across systems of care. Meets with patients in clinical and community settings to understand their needs and personal goals, support the exploration of potential positive and negative consequences associated with personal goals, and work collaboratively with the patient to remove obstacles that might interfere with goal attainment. Educates patients about addiction safe use practices, multiple pathways of recovery, and utilizes motivational enhancement techniques Conducts active outreach efforts to encourage attendance and participation in recovery-oriented, self-help, and pro-social groups. Works collaboratively with treatment team in support of evidence-based services to patients. Assists with access to treatment for patients, understanding and using systems and procedures to rapidly support identified needs of the patient and assists with data collection for quality assurance and program evaluation.

The board of directors are looking for a mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, and process-minded leader with experience scaling an organization, leading an executive management team, and developing a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals. The Vice President of Operation must be a leader who is able to help others at Women of Color on The Move deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make the vision a reality. Importantly, the successful Vice President of Operation will have the skills, sensitivity, and personal confidence to tap into the power that each member of the team brings to this mission. While it is essential that the Vice President of Operation bring efficient and effective systems to increase the productivity of the organization, is it also critical that the team retain the creative spark that drives the Women of Color On The Move concept. Responsibilities Reporting to the Founder, COO and the Board of Directors of WOCOTM. The Vice President of Operation will lead/ help run all internal operations and will have the following responsibilities: Working in partnership with the board of directors and the Founder, create the strategic five-year plan and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it Serve as the internal leader of the organization: Coordinate the annual operations plan and budget Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against goals for the organization Provide for all staff a strong day-to-day leadership presence; bridge national and regional operations and support an open-door policy among all staff Lead and manage the organizations who have the following responsibilities: Site Development Raise local funds Build local fund raising and sales infrastructures within local offices Generate sufficient local revenue to cover local costs Increase fee-for-service contracts Identify geographic growth opportunities and priorities Communicate the branded message internally and externally Program Increase key impact measurements Ensure that all programmatic partners renew their contracts Develop curriculum, tools, and training that meet cost guidelines Finance, Technology, and Human Resources Produce and implement a Balanced Scorecard metric throughout the organization Cultivate the values of Women of Color On The Move within the organization Instill a human capital development and "coaching" culture within Women of Color On The Move ; upgrade human resources functions including: training, development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance evaluation and recruiting Develop an accounting system that provides the organization with quick access to financial information and enables strategic budgeting Analyze the current technology infrastructure and scope out the next level of information technology and financial systems that support the growth of specific programs and the organization overall Fund Raising-function reports to the board of directors; dotted-line reporting to COO on: Budgeting Development and implementation of systems for reporting, measurement and supporting local revenue generation Administrative aspects including proposal preparation and granting writing Work with the national board of directors: present to the board at quarterly meetings and serve on several board committees Will have the following people under them to help on running day to day operations. Volunteer Operation manager, director of marketing, google ads manager, social media and volunteer director of human resources. Key Qualifications As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must believe in the core values of Women of Color On The Move and be driven by the mission. The candidate should demonstrate a passion for breaking new ground to lead social change. Beyond that, we are seeking a candidate that has proven experience in scaling a multi-site organization and a demonstrated ability to both lead and build the capabilities of a driven, bright, diverse team. The successful candidate will most likely have had management experience with a for-profit organization. As noted, this is an organization driven by the values of its people, so experience in managing a "values-driven" organization will be highly prized. A Program Coordinator coordinates fundraising and community outreach efforts. They develop event calendars and implement programs that align with the organization's vision, mission, and goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Create program materials and ensure that the program achieves stated objectives. Measure performance of programs and make adjustments to optimize results. Utilizes a client relationship management (CRM) or another system to organize information and facilitate outreach communications. Works with partners on special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community. WOCOTM is currently seeking a volunteer person to operate in a volunteer Vice President fundraiser role who would be interested in running the organization fundraising, nonprofit development. experience to serve as board member and potentially step into the role of Fundraising or Volunteer Development manager. The primary responsibility of the volunteer would be to lead the organization's efforts in raising funds, working with our volunteer Pro Bono grant writers in pursuing government and foundation grants, and assisting the Volunteer operation manager in managing ongoing individual donor outreach. The person would also report to the full board member, and volunteers we have a monthly schedule for fundraising for the organization. The volunteer fundraiser manager would be expected to participate in board meeting that includes attending regular board meetings and participating in fundraising. Our Board meeting location is currently remote, although we maintain a presence in Sacramento. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO is a member of the Board and a key advisor to the CEO. As such, the CFO plays a critical role in setting strategic priorities and driving organizational capacity-building decisions to continue to position WOCOTM for growth and long-term community change. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Finance Strategic Financial Management : Working in conjunction with the Finance Committee of the Board, the CFO leads strategic decision making to determine how WOCOTM can best leverage its current resources, engage in financial forecasting, and identify and obtain the resources that will be needed to fully meet its strategic priorities and mission: Effectively use financial modeling, scenario planning, and business analytics for decision making and clarification of business models as well as to prioritize internal organizational needs and investments Continually evaluate growth strategy (planned institutional growth, asset growth, and talent implications) and evaluate potential new revenue sources and the impact they will have on operations; conduct analytics related to pricing services and products Accounting: The CFO directs the accounting operations and provides fiduciary oversight of WOCOTM’s assets and ensures that the following areas are successful: Budget cycles that support strategy Annual audit process and external financial reporting Projection of organizational cash flow that will support the operational and strategic requirements of WOCOTM Financial management and reporting systems Financial best practices are implemented and documented TECHNICAL EXPERTISE/EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Professional and Educational Experience: M.B.A., C.P.A., C.F.A. or related degree Experience with non-profit organizational structure and finances At least 10 years of overall professional experience; ideally 5 years of broad financial and experience related to and described in the "Key Responsibilities" section Experience in leading and supporting organizational change efforts Successful professional experience in leading, managing and supervising diverse teams and interacting with boards of directors Demonstrated success in designing and sustaining management and operational plans to advance long term goals through annual workplans.
