Role Summary The Greeter/Usher plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment for all attendees at The Excelling Church. This position is responsible for the pre-service setup, greeting and interacting with partners and visitors, and ensuring first time visitors feel welcomed and valued. Key Responsibilities Preservice Setup: Arrive one hour prior to the start of the service to prepare the lobby and entrance areas. Welcome Bag Assembly: Assemble welcome bags to be given to first-time visitors. Greeting: Warmly greet all attendees as they arrive, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Interacting with First-Time Visitors: Engage with first-time visitors, providing them with information about the church and guiding them to the appropriate areas. QR Code Setup: Ensure the QR code for new visitor registration and information is prominently displayed and operational. Ensure all visitors complete new visitor registration. Hospitality: Demonstrate a kind and welcoming demeanor at all times, reflecting the values of The Excelling Church. Provide assistance to partners and visitors before, during, and after service. Outreach: Assit with calling first time visitors within three days of service welcoming and thanking them for attending. Ask prescripted questions to understand their current needs. Seating: Engage with all partners and visitors while guiding individuals to their seats. Ensure aisles are clear and keep an eye on potential issues. Qualifications Personable and Friendly: Must possess a warm, approachable personality and a genuine love for interacting with people. Punctuality: Must be able to arrive one hour prior to service start time. Team Player: Ability to work well with other team members to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all attendees. Attention to Detail: Ensure all preservice setups, including QR code and welcome bags, are correctly and efficiently completed. Position Summary: The Onboarding Specialist assists with the onboarding and offboarding processes for volunteers, coordinates the volunteer serve team, and supports the Learning and Development Team by scheduling and creating learning opportunities. This role also involves creating surveys to gather feedback on the serve team volunteer experience and overall church culture. The Onboarding Specialist supports the Director of People and Culture in ensuring a smooth and effective volunteer management process. Measurable Objectives: Onboarding and Offboarding: Complete onboarding for 90% of new volunteers within the first month of their start date and manage offboarding for departing volunteers within two weeks of their departure. Learning and Development: Collaborate with the Learning and Development Team to schedule and create at least one learning opportunity per quarter. Surveys and Feedback: Assist with developing and distributing surveys to gather feedback on the volunteer experience and church culture, achieving a 75% response rate from serve team members. Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with volunteers, achieving a response rate of 95% within 24 hours. Key Responsibilities: Manage the volunteer onboarding process, including orientation and training for new volunteers. Manage the volunteer offboarding process, including exit interviews and documentation. Coordinate the volunteer serve team, ensuring schedules are up-to-date and roles are filled. Collaborate with the Learning and Development Team to schedule and create learning opportunities for volunteers. Create and distribute surveys to gather feedback on the volunteer experience and church culture. Analyze survey results and provide recommendations for improvements based on feedback. Maintain accurate records related to volunteer activities, onboarding, offboarding, and learning opportunities. Carry out additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and organization.
