Do you enjoy helping others? We are seeking compassionate volunteers to assist our residents who use wheelchairs in attending religious services at our on-site chapel. What You'll Do: Assist residents who use wheelchairs as they go to and from the chapel before and after services. Help residents who need assistance with their bulletins or hearing devices during worship services. Be available to assist residents who may need to return to their rooms during services. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents by providing them with the opportunity to participate in religious services and feel connected to their faith. Qualities: Compassionate and patient Reliable and dependable Ability to follow directions Schedule: Shifts available Sundays 10am-11:30am and Wednesdays 3pm-4:30pm

Looking for a way to brighten the day for seniors? Join our team of Bingo volunteers! Bingo is a beloved activity at Lyngblomsten, bringing laughter, social interaction, and a chance to win prizes. As a Bingo volunteer you'll: Assist residents who use wheelchairs as they go to and from Bingo. Help residents with their Bingo cards during the game. Hand out prizes and create a fun, engaging atmosphere. Volunteer commitment: You can volunteer for as many or few sessions as you'd like. Additional information: New volunteers will attend an orientation. A Department of Human Services background study with fingerprinting is required (standard for working with vulnerable individuals). The Gathering, at Lyngblomsten, is searching for compassionate volunteers to join our team! We offer a fun and rewarding way to support individuals with early memory loss and their caregivers. The Gathering provides caregivers a few hours' break while volunteers like you enjoy time with participants who have early memory loss. Caregivers bring their loved one (participant) to one of two locations, St. Paul (Como Neighborhood) or Lino Lakes. Volunteers help participants take part in staff-led, brain-stimulating activities that are fun for everyone. You might work on word puzzles, participate in gentle movement, enjoy some music, complete a craft project, and finish up the day with a story. Training is provided. This is an incredibly rewarding volunteer role that allows you to make a real difference in the lives of the participants and their caregivers. Join us as a Respite Assistant (ratio 2 participants to 1 volunteer). The Gathering is a four-hour program held multiple times a week at the Como and Lino Lakes sites.
