The Durham Crisis Response Center works with the community to end domestic, sexual and family violence and human trafficking through advocacy, education, support, and prevention.
Description
Durham Crisis Response Center (DCRC) is the largest provider of comprehensive shelter and support services to survivors of domestic, sexual, and family violence, and human trafficking and their families, in the Durham area. DCRC services include a 24-hour confidential crisis line, hospital and court accompaniment, support groups, short-term individual counseling, and referrals for job training, housing, childcare and other community services. All direct services are offered to the community free of charge. We also offer educational workshops and professional training for service providers, churches, schools, police, hospitals, civic groups and other community members.

Great organization! The training is very informative and interactive. The staff is very welcoming and helpful each time I go to volunteer. I've been assisting Domestic Violence survivors for the past 6 months and I love it. The staff goes over and beyond to ensure that survivors are adequately assisted. They also have no problems answering any questions and providing support.

The Durham Crisis Response Center is run by hard-working and caring individuals who work around the clock for the communities they serve. They've proven to be reliable and a real asset to the surrounding communities future. I've learned so much from them about how a non-profit organization works in terms of day to day business as well as a very small insight towards the financial aspect. I hope to know everyone there for the rest of my life.
