We’re looking for an Administrative Program Assistant to help manage and grow the Veteran Pen Pal Project (VPPP) at It’s a Military Life! In this role, you will assist the Program Manager with a variety of administrative tasks, support the growth of the VPPP, and ensure that all aspects of the program run smoothly: Key Responsibilities: Assist with administrative tasks to support the Veteran Pen Pal Project’s day-to-day operations Create engaging content to be shared across social media, newsletters, and the website Help organize program files and streamline information for increased efficiency Draft correspondence for the Program Manager and coordinate details with other teams and departments Provide recommendations to improve program efficiency and effectiveness Assist with team management for fundraising, outreach, and other opportunities Help develop and manage the program’s budget, schedule, and scope Attend monthly team meetings and weekly one-on-ones with the Program Manager Maintain a positive, professional image of the organization at all times What We’re Looking For: Minimum of 5-10 hours per week commitment for at least 6-12 months Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Experience in administrative support, content creation, or marketing (helpful) Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently but also collaborate effectively with a team Passion for supporting veterans, the military community, and making a difference This is an exciting volunteer opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team that is making a real impact in the lives of veterans and military families through meaningful connections.
