Are you an experienced grant writer with a passion for supporting military families and veterans? It’s a Military Life is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team and help us secure funding for our programs that make a difference in the lives of military children and families.
As our Nonprofit Grant Writer, you will:
-Research grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations
-Write and submit compelling grant proposals that align with our mission and goals
-Collaborate with program managers and department heads to gather necessary information for proposals
-Manage a comprehensive grant calendar to ensure timely submissions and reporting
-Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential funders
-Track and report on the success of grant applications and funding outcomes
This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the growth and success of our organization while working remotely in a flexible, volunteer role.
What We’re Looking For:
-Proven experience in grant writing and securing funding for nonprofit organizations
-Strong research, writing, and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
-Familiarity with nonprofit grant application processes
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and grant management tools
-Minimum commitment of 5 hours/week
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in grant writing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
