Position Title: Volunteer Photographer - Confidence Building Workshop Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate, creative, and detail-oriented volunteer photographer to capture memorable moments at our Confidence Building Workshop. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills to a meaningful event that empowers young mothers. As a Volunteer Photographer, you will document the workshop’s activities, ensuring that the images reflect the spirit and impact of our mission. These photographs will be used for promotional materials, social media, and future events, helping us share the stories and success of our participants. Responsibilities: Attend the Confidence Building Workshop and take high-quality photos of participants, speakers, and activities. Capture candid moments, group shots, and key moments from the sessions. Work with the event coordinator to ensure specific moments are photographed (e.g., speaker presentations, participant activities). Edit and deliver a collection of high-resolution photos post-event for use in marketing, social media, and internal documentation. Ensure the privacy and consent of participants, particularly when it comes to sharing photos publicly. We’re looking for a volunteer with: Proven experience in photography, with a strong portfolio showcasing event, portrait, or lifestyle photography. Ability to capture high-quality, candid images in a dynamic event environment. Basic editing skills (e.g., cropping, color correction, and adjusting lighting). A friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to interact with event attendees. Passion for storytelling through photography, with a focus on empowering and inspiring individuals. A commitment to South Project’s mission of supporting young mothers and their journeys to personal empowerment. Nice to Have: Experience working with nonprofits or community-based organizations. Familiarity with photography equipment and software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop). Previous experience in photographing events or workshops. Knowledge of the local community or experience working with underserved populations. Time Commitment: 2-4 hours for photographing the Confidence Building Workshop.
