Position Title: Volunteer Speaker - Building Self-Esteem and Personal Empowerment
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, results-driven individual to volunteer as a Speaker for our Confidence Building Workshop. This role is ideal for someone committed to empowering others through motivational speaking and practical strategies that help build self-esteem and personal empowerment. As a Volunteer Speaker, you will deliver a 40-minute presentation focused on developing self-worth, building confidence, and creating lasting positive change for young mothers and underserved populations.
We’re looking for a passionate, results-driven individual with:
- Experience in public speaking, personal development, or empowerment coaching.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of self-esteem building strategies and confidence-enhancement tools.
- Empathy and the ability to foster a supportive environment for participants.
- Organizational skills to deliver a clear and structured 40-minute presentation.
- A commitment to South Project's mission of empowering young mothers and creating lasting social change.
Nice to have:
- Background in psychology, coaching, or social work.
- Experience working with young mothers or underserved populations.
- Previous experience delivering workshops, webinars, or group training sessions.
- A passion for motivational speaking and creating positive, transformative experiences.
Time Commitment:
- 1-2 hours for preparation and content creation.
- 40-minute presentation during the Confidence Building Workshop.

We strive to help young parents overcome obstacles, focus on their future, and make positive choices. Through our guidance and practical tools, we support teenage mothers in continuing their education or pursuing a trade, enabling them to build sustainable, independent lives for themselves and their children.
Description
South Project is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering young mothers, under 23 years old, by providing mentorship, educational resources, and a supportive community. Our mission is to equip young mothers with the skills, confidence, and resources they need to overcome the challenges of early parenthood and build successful, independent futures for themselves and their children.
We offer personalized mentorship, educational workshops on topics such as parenting, financial literacy, and career development, as well as essential resources to help our participants thrive. Through these programs, we aim to reduce stigma, provide emotional support, and create opportunities for young mothers to succeed in all aspects of their lives.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors. Board members play a critical role in helping us expand our impact, develop sustainable fundraising strategies, and provide strategic guidance to achieve our mission.
