Our mission is to ignite a love for reading and empower young minds through storytelling. Job Summary: We are seeking a strategic and analytical Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data collection strategies, monitoring program progress, and evaluating outcomes to ensure our initiatives make a measurable impact. You will also identify key metrics, set milestones, and leverage tools that automate data collection and analysis. This position is ideal for someone who can manage these responsibilities autonomously and who has a passion for using data to drive social impact. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation strategies to track the effectiveness of our programs and initiatives. Design data collection methods and utilize tools and apps that automate data gathering and reporting. Analyze data to identify trends, measure success, and provide actionable insights that drive decision-making. Recommend and set key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones that align with our mission and demonstrate our progress. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to present impact numbers effectively in promotional materials. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting and analysis. Provide regular reports to leadership on program performance, impact, and areas for improvement. Stay updated on best practices in monitoring and evaluation, and integrate them into our processes. Qualifications: Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Knowledge of apps and tools that automate data collection and reporting (e.g., Tableau, Google Analytics, etc.). Ability to set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly and effectively. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities without needing micromanagement.
