This role involves developing and implementing marketing strategies to raise awareness of our organization, promote our programs, and engage our community. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with our Social Media Content Creator to ensure cohesive and effective communication across all platforms. Responsibilities: * Develop and execute marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., social media, email, website). * Create compelling content to promote our programs and events. * Design marketing materials using tools such as Canva or similar. * Collaborate with the Social Media Content Creator to manage and grow our social media presence. * Analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns. * Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing efforts. * Identify opportunities for partnerships and community outreach. Requirements: * Experience in marketing, communications, or a related field. * Proficiency in social media platforms and marketing tools. * Strong writing, editing, and communication skills. * Experience with design tools such as Canva or similar. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. * Creativity and attention to detail. Commitment: * We ask for a minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per week. * The initial commitment period is 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement. (JJ Center Inc.) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to manage our thriving food pantry located in Ward 8 of Washington, DC. This volunteer position is vital to ensuring that our food pantry operates smoothly and effectively, providing essential nutrition to low-income families in this area. Key Responsibilities: * Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of food items. Ensure inventory is well-organized and rotated to maintain freshness. * Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and schedule pantry volunteers. Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient pantry operations. * Client Assistance: Welcome and assist clients, ensuring they receive food items in a dignified and respectful manner. Address any questions or concerns they may have. * Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food donations, distributions, and client interactions. Prepare reports as needed. * Community Outreach: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and donors to secure food and financial contributions. Promote pantry services within the community. * Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors to manage food orders, pickups, and deliveries.
