THE CHALLENGE and YOUR IMPACT Collaboration is in the DNA of CARM Safety Foundation. It is essential that we identify, engage and motivate 100s of companies and research organizations to embrace computer-aided risk management (CARM). The result will be new public safety capabilities reaching the market faster, as seen with USB, WiFi and many other technologies. This is a senior leadership role. You will be our primary ally-facing representative to other organizations at their highest level. Through your persuasive energy, the result will be minds open to change and eventually commitments by others to invest in the CARM vision. Initial scoping of this role indicates a very broad range of organizations to engage. In general, these include: product companies who offer sensors, networking, computing and AI software technology research organizations; national labs, universities, scientists companies involved with commercial real estate (CRE) property & casualty (P&C) insurance companies Although the skills across all these industries are similar, we believe multiple people are required, each bringing their years/decades of experience in target industries. Our startup non-profit foundation is eager to engage other organizations and we need your help to scale-out. Ideal candidates are hands-on team players, versatile and appreciate the multi-faceted roles common in start-ups. Snapshot of What You’ll Do Research, plan and publish ecosystem map for key products and technologies to include in CARM-based public safety systems Research developers and manufacturers of key products and technologies for CARM Plan engagement strategies for developers and manufacturers Refine descriptions of end user target markets that may benefit from CARM technology Advocate the CARM opportunity to target audiences, and be their Champion within our team Plan and publish audience engagement strategies, mainly awareness campaigns, and lead nurturing Implement tactics arising from strategies executed by you or others, at your preference Measure and report the performance of audience engagement efforts Advise others on approach for scaling resources, engaging vendors and contractors Who We’re Looking For You are adept at engaging strategic allies and planning how to develop inter-corporate relations within high priority market segments. Our pioneering initiative offers a unique opportunity as a Topic Expert for a new Industry Working Group, focusing on Physical Security. If you are adept at planning, installing or operating some portion of physical security systems and want to help us make school safer, we want to talk to you. Our non-profit foundation needs help from topic experts to create a new industry Standard describing Requirements and Tests for compliance. We're assembling several small teams to craft a new industry standard describing requirements and compliance verification for video surveillance, access control, business process automation, maintenance and planning/ budgeting of physical security in schools. This new Standard will also serve as a blueprint for training Assessors who will be available to audit and enhance the physical security infrastructure of school districts. As part of this mission, you'll be at the heart of a movement to shape safer educational environments across the nation. With 6-8 teams, each comprising 3-4 members, your insights will lay the groundwork for significant industry-wide impacts. Ideal candidates are versatile and hands-on team players, who appreciate the multi-faceted roles common in start-ups. Snapshot of What You’ll Do: Identify and articulate key points regarding physical security system Requirements to enhance school safety, focusing on current products and services. Develop foundational elements for Test procedures to verify compliance with the new physical security Standard, ensuring practical applicability in today's educational environments. Collaborate within small, focused teams to pool expertise on specific security topics, ranging from video surveillance to access control and business process automation. Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive framework that will serve as the basis for training Assessors in evaluating school districts' physical security measures. Share pithy expert insights and snippets that will be refined by others into the final written Standard; you do NOT need to be a technical writer nor is writing a necessary strength. Engage in discussions that bridge theory with practical application, ensuring that the Standard that is both visionary and actionable. Participate in a collaborative process that draws on precedent in other industries (technology and IT, for example), learning from their success in implementing collaborative standards development. Play a pivotal role in shaping a program from its inception, influencing how physical security in schools is approached and implemented nationwide. Sharing your expert insights as a working group member will be foundational for our mission, and enable others to finalize the writing based on the key points and insights you provide. This collaborative effort will ensure that the final industry Standard is comprehensive, practical, and reflective of the expertise shared by all contributors. Who We’re Looking For: We're on the hunt for dynamic individuals with backgrounds as sales engineers, installers, or planners within the physical security domain, including video surveillance and access control. Experience in operational technology (OT) or IT automation software, auditing of IT and business operations infrastructure (e.g., SOC2, PCI-DSS) is also highly valued for our new program. We also welcome operators of physical security infrastructures in school districts or high-security settings such as banking.
