I discovered this opportunity in 2021 while in search of a volunteer experience amidst the isolation we were all feeling. I am truly fortunate to have met so many hard-working, creative, and resilient individuals from all over the world! Working as a class volunteer teacher, I have also benefitted from partnerships with various teachers who are extremely dedicated to the growth of all of our students. I’m so glad I found Catholic Charities through Volunteer Match. I began volunteering with their ESL program over 4 years ago. The staff is professional, wonderful to work with and regularly demonstrates their appreciation for their volunteers. The students in the classes are eager to learn and also appreciate the volunteer support. During my time with Catholic Charities I have worked with terrific, well prepared teachers, who have helped me to grow as a volunteer teacher.
