This is a pro-bono volunteer position. JerseySTEM is searching for a volunteer to join our team of Recruiting Partners. In this role, you will be managing the full recruitment life cycle: identifying, sourcing, recruiting, screening and recommending placement of volunteers for the organization. As a Recruiting Partner, you will partner closely with stakeholders for your business function as well as the wider HR organization. Please note: This is an unpaid, volunteer position. Responsibilities Responsible for owning the entire life cycle of the recruiting process from sourcing to onbaording ensuring a great candidate experience Partners with an assigned business area within JerseySTEM to support their recruiting efforts and hiring needs Partners with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting strategies for position(s) and guiding and advising on recruitment processes Establishes and maintains meaningful relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and HR business partners across the organization Uses creative sourcing methods to identify and attract quality candidates Conducts weekly reporting on recruitment efforts for assigned business function Minimum 5-7 hours per week, minimum 6-month commitment Virtual/Remote Qualifications Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization Highly organized and self-motivated Work experience from a Talent Acquisition/Recruiting Operations capacity required, proven track record as a Recruiter strongly preferred Knowledge of recruitment best practices, interview techniques and sourcing methods Strong proficiency in G-suite required Knowledge using Slack, Salesforce, and iCIMS (or any ATS) is helpful This is a pro-bono volunteer position. Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online after school projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem. Join our mission as the Public Relations Lead and you will help design, build and manage the infrastructure and processes necessary to grow JerseySTEM awareness and enhance its reputation among Corporate donors in New Jersey. Responsibilities: Lead the evaluation, design and implementation of a professionally skilled PR department. Guide the development of a public relations strategy to grow awareness for JerseySTEM and its mission. Drive the creation of appropriate PR processes to regularly disseminate meaningful JerseySTEM news via a range of PR channels. Drive the creation of processes to monitor and measure the impact of PR strategies and programs. OVERVIEW The primary responsibility of this position is to build and manage relationships and network with key stakeholders (Corporate Social Responsibility, Community Engagement, HR) at Companies. This requires meeting with these stakeholders, eventually in person which is why a NJ local is required. During these meetings the Corporate Engagement Account Manager will represent JerseySTEM, detail our offering and formulate potential partnership/sponsorship opportunities ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT JerseySTEM partners with Companies in New Jersey to get sponsorships and to fund our programs. Companies partner with JerseySTEM in a number of ways: provide remote/in-person speakers for the STEM clubs, typically scientists or engineers, providing mentors to JerseySTEM coaches providing field trip sponsorship opportunities for the middle schoolers. sponsor talks/conferences held on campus provide financial support for the programs The relationships with corporations is extremely important because they usually have an employee run Corporate Outreach initiatives which can help us with spreading the word about JerseySTEM. Employees who give money to JerseySTEM are sometimes part of a corporation which will match the donation. So, we can either get volunteers or donations from those employees. There are about 300 potential company sponsors possible in New Jersey. You will work directly with our Analytics and Research team to narrow down the target list, get data on which corporations to reach out to and to prioritize those corporations. This role directly impacts how many classes we can have because the companies sponsor the classes we offer including the cost of the ride for college coaches to get to the class. This directly impacts our ability to get 25,000 middle schoolers taught by 2025. Description

Incorporated in 2013, JerseySTEM started bringing afterschool enrichment programs to middle school girls in 2015.
We have since provided 1,000 students with exposure to afterschool enrichment programs delivering more than 20,000 hours of instruction. Students learn to code, build robots, solve problems and through that process gain self-esteem and confidence that they can be the leaders of tomorrow.
