To celebrate Jamaica's Independence and host other fundraising events and initiatives in New York to raise awareness and resources needed to help women and families who have experienced crisis situations; underserved communities and support amateur youth athletes from Jamaica playing sports in the U.S.
Description
JAMAICA INDEPENDENCE FOUNDATION, INC., (JIFI~NYC) is a 501(c)(3) accredited not-for-profit /NGO entity and was created to advocate for (a) women in crisis situations, (b) amateur youth athletes from Jamaica playing sports in the U.S., and (c) underserved communities.
Our Members are all volunteers with a diverse industry background but all of whom share one common goal, which is to give back, do good, and advocate for those who are disadvantaged or who are the most underserved among us.
JIFI~NYC fundraises on behalf of a diverse array of public charities dedicated to the betterment of our diaspora at home and here in the U.S., as well as our global community.
