The Program Director work directly with the President/Founder in overseeing the administration, programs, and fundraising activities of the organization. The ideal candidate is driven, well-organized and self-sufficient, with high emotional intelligence and a passion for inspiring hope. Primary Responsibilities Development & Community Outreach Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective and existing donors; strengthen relationships with corporate and organization partners; and engage Board of Directors to support these efforts. Manage grants, including researching available grant options, writing grant proposals, maintaining the grant calendar, tracking budgets and outcomes, and submitting reports in a timely manner. Oversee communications committee including content creation for monthly e-newsletter, website and web presence on social media, and printed materials including flyers and brochures. Develop and implement community engagement activities including events for seniors, mothers and children. Administration & Program Management Oversee the operations of the organization and ensure maintenance of facilities as applicable. Assist in facilitating volunteer meetings and provide support to volunteers and leads. Attend monthly Board of Director meetings to report on operations and develop organizational plans and policies. Assist with the build of an annual budget for the organization and prepare program and project budgets. Minimum Qualifications Experience in nonprofit management or development. Self-motivated, self-starter, and dedicated to advance Golden Experiences mission. Ability to engage and effectively collaborate with the Board of Directors. Ability to empower volunteers and delegate tasks to the Board, and volunteers. Preferred Qualifications College or university degree. Strong networking/fundraising skills; experience in donor stewardship, grant writing/management, and event management is desired. Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning abilities. Ability to envision and convey an organization's strategic future to board, volunteers, and donors. High level of resourcefulness, creativity, and solid organizational leadership. Desirable Skill Set Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with people. Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation. ยท Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Coordinate with healthcare professionals, volunteers, or guest contributors to include expert insights and tips in blog content. SEO Optimization & Engagement: Optimize blog posts with relevant keywords to increase visibility and drive traffic to the Golden Experiences website. Use engaging titles, subheadings, and multimedia (e.g., infographics, images) to enhance the readability and impact of the blog. Editorial Calendar Management: Maintain a consistent blogging schedule, with posts ideally published once or twice a month, coordinating with the marketing team’s content calendar. Pitch new ideas for topics and series that will engage the target audience and highlight Golden Experiences’ impact in the healthcare space. Advocacy & Awareness: Promote healthcare education and advocacy by creating blog content that raises awareness about challenges faced by the underserved populations, including seniors, mothers, and children. Support the organization's goal of fostering a community-centered approach to health and wellness.
