The Volunteer Administrative Assistant will handle administrative tasks and support the efficient operation of DC Coding. This role involves managing communications, scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and assisting with various organizational functions. The Volunteer Administrative Assistant will work closely with the leadership team to ensure smooth and effective communication within the organization. This is an online volunteer position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause and gain valuable experience. The Volunteer Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Executive Director. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other office software. The role involves creating lesson plans, providing support to students, and contributing to the development of the curriculum. The instructor will work closely with the education team to ensure that classes are engaging, accessible, and aligned with the organization’s mission. This is a volunteer position, offering a meaningful opportunity to give back to the community while gaining teaching experience. Position Type: Fully remote Estimated Time Commitment: 3-8 hours/week, flexible and may vary Qualifications: Strong proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or other relevant programming languages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently in an online environment. Organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Prior experience teaching or tutoring is an asset but not required. Coding competition rewards is an asset but not required.
