The Volunteer Administrative Assistant will handle administrative tasks and support the efficient operation of DC Coding. This role involves managing communications, scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and assisting with various organizational functions. The Volunteer Administrative Assistant will work closely with the leadership team to ensure smooth and effective communication within the organization. This is an online volunteer position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause and gain valuable experience. The Volunteer Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Executive Director.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in administration or a related field, or a strong passion to learn.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other office software.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Passionate about the mission of DC Coding and committed to making a positive impact.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Communication Management: Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and other correspondences as needed.

  • Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain and organize important documents and records, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date.

  • Meeting Support: Prepare agendas, take notes during meetings, and distribute information to relevant parties.

  • Administrative Support: Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other administrative tasks as needed.

  • Communication with Executive Director: Communicate any requests, updates, or issues to the Executive Director.
