About the Role As Co-Director of Development, you’ll drive our fundraising and community engagement efforts to support The Halifax Helpers’ mission. You’ll work alongside our team to build relationships, develop funding strategies, and identify opportunities to enhance our impact. This role is ideal for someone passionate about educational access and looking to gain experience in nonprofit development. This role requires a commitment of 1-2 hours per week. Key Responsibilities Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to grow funding, including identifying potential donors, grants, and community partners. Donor Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, keeping them informed and engaged with our mission. Community Partnerships: Collaborate with local organizations to create meaningful partnerships that support our programs and outreach goals. Event Support: Assist in planning and promoting fundraising events, ensuring alignment with our mission and goals. Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Scheduling: Plan and schedule posts on Facebook, Instagram, and X, using Canva to design engaging graphics. Engagement & Analysis: Track metrics like likes, shares, and follower growth; analyze trends to improve our reach. Community Interaction: Respond to comments and messages, promote events, and encourage community engagement.
