Administrative Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a reliable, south Dayton, Christian volunteer to provide general support to the executive director and perhaps other strategic project leaders. Ideally, the candidate would be available daily on weekdays, able to serve in person at times and help with occasional errands. This is a virtual, flexible position with full payment potential for the right person and fit. It could be great for a stay at home parent or retiree who could use some extra money, while serving a growing mission to help more people in need. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be proficient in the English language, including reading and writing. Candidate(s) must be flexible, have good organization skills, attention to detail, ability to take initiative, and manage time efficiently. Proficiency with Microsoft and Google apps is required. There is no need to answer phones, but phone skills and appointment-setting are appreciated. PREFERRED: - Past administrative experience supporting leadership - Knowledge or experience about mental health, addiction, and/or faith programs, including nonprofits or churches DUTIES: Assist the MA founder with miscellaneous tasks, such as: Scheduling/confirming meetings, managing calendars Ordering supplies Collating, mailing and shipping materials Converting training materials into PDF format and maintaining updates Light research and data entry Occasional errand services in the South Dayton area would be a plus Other possibilities could include onboarding assistance, grant assistance, business analysis and reporting, working with Zoho CRM and other Zoho apps and more. Fundraising and Donor Relations Specialist

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a virtual volunteer(s) in the Dayton, Ohio area, to support the Fundraising and Donor Relations Director with all aspects of Mission Addiction's fundraising strategy. This position will include supporting grant writing and research, fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, maintaining donor relationships, and planning special events. Both junior and senior candidates will be considered. QUALIFICATIONS: - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Knowledge of basic nonprofit fund development techniques and strategies - Ability to successfully design and implement donor cultivation, solicitation and retention strategies - Experience communicating an organization's needs in order to drive short-term and long-term financial development goals - Basic computer proficiency PREFERRED: - Experience working with websites, social media, email and print campaigns - Knowledge and/or experience about addiction, including addiction programs - Experience in grant writing - Experience in grant research - Knowledge and/or experience about mental health - Knowledge and/or experience about Christianity DUTIES : Responsible for supporting the Fundraising and Donor Relations Development Director in the identification of potential donors, and relationship maintenance with donors. Supports Director in the oversight of fundraising campaign strategy, including all duties for fundraising event planning. Supports Director in writing and researching grants to fund MA. Video Production Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a volunteer(s) to assist the MA founder with formal and informal video needs, including educational videos, testimonials, special events, etc. This includes creating an overall video recording strategy, providing technical advice, assisting with equipment (including purchase), staging, filming, editing, and production. This position will help interface video production to our website, YouTube channel, etc. The consultative side of this position may be performed virtually. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and experience with planning, creating and producing videos, which includes recording via a cellular device. Must be able to communicate well with a team, be dependable and reliable. POSITION SUMMARY : Seeking a virtual volunteer(s) to assist the Executive Director and/or leadership team members in brainstorming and creating designs for social media, workshops, special events, printed materials, etc. A stipend may be available. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of creating graphics efficiently in PowerPoint, Canva, Photoshop and/or other similar tools is required. Creative expertise in basic graphic design. This position requires team collaboration as well as organization and flexibility as this position will be managing multiple mini-projects at a time. Must be proficient in the English language, including reading and writing. Mission Addiction has been the best volunteering experience of my life. I began as an assistant for administrative tasks, and now I am fully involved in the organization! I've dedicated around four months to volunteering with Mission Addiction. Currently pursuing graphic design in school, I've been blessed with an opportunity to serve as a designer with Mission Addiction. Working alongside the founder has been a delightful experience, providing me with valuable lessons. Managing a challenging course load, particularly in the final weeks of school, has been demanding, but the founder’s understanding and flexibility have been a tremendous support. His adaptability and cooperation in a remote position, especially when it comes to unforeseen circumstances like illnesses or family emergencies, have made the experience even more rewarding. Being part of an organization that focuses on helping individuals in achieving their goals has been a source of great gratitude. I wholeheartedly recommend students and others to consider joining this remarkable team.
