POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a virtual volunteer(s) in the Dayton, Ohio area, to support the Fundraising and Donor Relations Director with all aspects of Mission Addiction's fundraising strategy. This position will include supporting grant writing and research, fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, maintaining donor relationships, and planning special events. Both junior and senior candidates will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of basic nonprofit fund development techniques and strategies
- Ability to successfully design and implement donor cultivation, solicitation and retention strategies
- Experience communicating an organization's needs in order to drive short-term and long-term financial development goals
- Basic computer proficiency

PREFERRED:
- Experience working with websites, social media, email and print campaigns
- Knowledge and/or experience about addiction, including addiction programs
- Experience in grant writing
- Experience in grant research
- Knowledge and/or experience about mental health
- Knowledge and/or experience about Christianity

DUTIES: Responsible for supporting the Fundraising and Donor Relations Development Director in the identification of potential donors, and relationship maintenance with donors. Position will build and maintain professional relationships with Mission Addiction sponsors and supporters and practice effective communication when representing the organization in all business development and donor cultivation activities. Supports Director in the oversight of fundraising campaign strategy, including all duties for fundraising event planning. Supports Director in writing and researching grants to fund MA. Both junior and senior candidates will be considered.

- Support the overall development of fundraising campaigns, including timelines and all operational elements, such as printing mail, event-related campaigns, brochures, invitations, posters, ads, newsletters, etc.
- Identify, solicit and cultivate individual donors and businesses/corporations to secure monetary and in-kind sponsorships and donations
- Support the coordination of fundraising and donor cultivation events
- Support the coordination of sponsorship and in-kind donations
- Build relationships with community stakeholders to advance the mission of the organization
- Participate in MA activities, and/or meetings as appropriate to understand the mission and needs
