Using (XL and Word/Google Docs) to collect and update volunteers' records, including contact information, training certification and health and safety certifications. Notify individuals when they need to re-train and re-certify. Collect Agency partner contact information and participation in our services. Coordinate with Steering Committee members on their records needs, including reporting to Sierra Club. Involves working with a team of volunteers, possibly creating your own team. Much but not all work could be done virtually

Represent Las Vegas ICO seeking partnerships with agencies and organizations that provide recreational opportunities for local youth in underresourcedneighborhoods. You will establish these relationships representing the local Inspiring Connections Outdoors. ICO is a Chapter Outings program of Sierra Club. ICO contributes to the creation of outdoor equity by connecting children and youth with limited access to the outdoors through outings that promote wellness, connection and leadership. LVICO is one of the Toiyabe Chapter's Outings programs. As a free community-outreach service, we organize and conduct group day trips to area public lands, with our certified trained outdoor leaders who teach about natural resources as they enable youth to safely discover and enjoy natural resources on public lands on group day trips, with complementary lunches. These areas include the Springs Preseve, state parks--Spring Mountain Ranch and the Valley of Fire, national parks--Red Rock Canyon Lake Mead National and Mt. Charleston. As Agency Liaison you are a member of LVICO'S leadership team. Together you will identify potential partner agencies and establish relationships with directors who wish to work with a specific ICO outings leaders to match agency needs with the appropriate outings; help with the paperwork for parental permission for young participants. You will work with the agency representatives to establish written partnership agreements, outlining expectations and responsibilities, consistent with Sierra Club ICO guidelines.

Establish and maintain schedule of outings scheduled with agency partners, workingthe Agency Coordinator. Recruit Outings Leaders and Co-Leaders for each agency's outing. Serve as trainer/co-trainer for periodic Outdoor Leadership Training sessions. Maintain records and paperwork (some via online database), according to Sierra Club ICO reporting procedures, coordinating with Records Manager. Some of these duties could be done virtually. ICO Outings experience beneficial or can be developed. Serve on the LVICO Steering Commitee

Provide administrative support and share leadership responsibilities with current Chair, during two-year term. Serve as a member of the Steering Committee. Work with the team of Officers, Outdoor Leaders, and agency partners in the community to know and assist with the scope of leadership responsibilities of this organization. Step in as acting chair as needed. Potential to be nominated as a future chair. Experience with or willingness to learn to be trained and certified at Outings Leader, outings organizer. Also volunteer recruitment, public speaking, trainer, agency liaison, fundraiser and other duties, as needed. Interest in and/or experience in environmental education for children and youth required.
