Location: North End, St. Paul, MN About MORE: MORE is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering new Americans by providing comprehensive support through English classes at our home site and onsite at various workplaces. We also offer social services and basic needs assistance. Our mission is to help participants reach their full potential and enjoy abundant, healthy lives with greater stability. Position Summary: The Volunteer Engagement Manager is a volunteer position responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers who assist with our education and social services programs. This role is crucial in ensuring that volunteers are effectively integrated into our organization, maximizing their impact on our programs and services. Key Responsibilities: Volunteer Recruitment: Develop and implement strategies to recruit a diverse group of volunteers. Establish partnerships with community organizations, schools, and businesses to attract volunteers. Attend community events and fairs to promote volunteer opportunities. Volunteer Training and Orientation: Conduct orientation sessions to train volunteers on MORE’s mission, values, and programs. Provide ongoing development opportunities to enhance volunteer skills. Volunteer Management: Coordinate volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage for education and social services programs. Maintain accurate volunteer records, including contact information, schedules, and hours contributed. Program Support: Work closely with program managers to identify volunteer needs and opportunities. Ensure volunteers are matched with roles that align with their skills, interests, and availability. Monitor and evaluate volunteer performance, providing feedback and support as needed. Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in volunteer management or a related field is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Passion for supporting new Americans and commitment to MORE’s mission. Commitment: Appx. 5 hours per week. Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events as needed. Commitment: Weekly, Fridays 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM Position Overview: Join us in making a difference in our community by assisting with the distribution of essential items to those in need. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help with our Basic Needs Distribution program, which provides free food to our local immigrant population and other community members. Volunteer Responsibilities: Food Distribution (Fridays, 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM): Sort and organize food donations. Assist in setting up the distribution area. Distribute food items to community members. Clean distribution area and prep for clothing donations. Time Commitment: Volunteers are needed each week on Fridays. Qualifications: A positive attitude and willingness to help others. Ability to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items. Comfortable working in a busy environment and engaging with community members. No prior experience is necessary; training will be provided.
