QUICK OVERVIEW Union Station Homeless Services relies on the support of volunteer groups to provide daily home-cooked meals to shelter residents and community members in need. If your family, corporation, or civic group would like to cook and serve a meal or drop off/cater a meal from a local restaurant at one of our shelters, consider sponsoring an "Adopt-a-Meal"! MISSION Union Station Homeless Services is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organizatin, who is committed to helping individuals and families rebuild their lives and discover permanent solutions to ending homelessness. VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILIITIES Plan a menu of your choice (i.e. roasted chicken, mac and cheese, salad, cookies, and drinks) Purchase the ingredients needed to prepare the food Cook the meal - prepare the meal in our kitchen or purchase food from a restaurant and drop it off or have it delivered Serve the meal to our residents (optional-- if you choose not to serve in person, our staff would be happy to serve the meal on your behalf) REQUIREMENTS Volunteers must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to cook/serve onsite. Please note that there is an age requirement for volunteering in the kitchen. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed in the kitchen at any time. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old with a chaperone, and 16 to volunteer without. We ask that you please wear closed-toed shoes and long pants for your safety and protection. QUESTIONS? If you do not have a surgical mask, Union Station Homeless Services will be able to provide you with one upon arrival to your volunteer shift. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required if serving/cooking at our facilities. All volunteers serving food directly to clients must wear a face shield (provided by Union Station). Additionally, all volunteers must read and acknowledge a COVID liability waiver onsite. The Activities may involve a degree of contact with clients who need assistance and other volunteers who may be carriers of COVID-19 and that personal protective equipment may not be available for my use and/or effective against preventing transmission of COVID-19 whether as a result of my own actions or otherwise. I hereby expressly and specifically assume such risks, including any and all risk of injury, illness, harm, or loss that I may incur as a result of my participation in the Activities. Works from, and expressly waive, any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, that may arise from my participation in the Activities.

Union Station Homeless Services is a non-profit organization committed to helping families and individuals experiencing homelessness rebuild their lives. We are searching for 2-4 volunteers to hold bingo night at our Eagle Rock Tiny Village. The volunteer(s) would lead the bingo game and engage residents to participate. Bingo supplies will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring snacks and prizes. Requirements: If this is your first time volunteering with Union Station, we ask that you first attend our volunteer orientation. This kitchen service volunteer shift is an integral part of maintaining an efficient and successful kitchen and meal program for our Adult Center, so please consider volunteering to help! We have shifts available at our Adult Center everyday of the week! 7:00am - 9:30am | Monday - Sunday 10:30am - 1:30pm | Monday - Sunday 12:30pm - 3:00pm | Monday - Friday Requirements: - Volunteers must attend an online volunteer orientation.
