Arizonans for Children Visitation Center Host We have two Visitation Centers, located in Phoenix and Mesa, in need of Visitation Center Hosts to support the families. Our centers offer safe and inviting rooms for supervised visits to take place. Children in the foster care system in Maricopa County meet with their biological siblings, relatives and parents. We also serve family court cases that require supervision related to custody/parenting time. The comfortable and neutral environment Arizonans for Children provides is the catalyst for the reunification of these families. Families have access to dining areas, outside playground, playrooms, movies, books, pool tables, air hockey, and volunteer led activities like arts/crafts! These visits may be the last memories the children have with their families and we strive to ensure they are fond ones! As a Host, you bring positive energy and smiles. Our Hosts greet our guests at sign in/out, manage onsite resources, and ensure the centers are sanitized and safe. Shifts are flexible, and we have weekend opportunities. We start with an application, interview, and tour. If you find the opportunity to be a good fit, we pay for the background check, provide training and support. Thank you for considering Arizonans for Children as a place to serve in our community. Tutor Mentors commit to a minimum one year relationship with a school aged foster child, ages 5-18, to assist that child with academics and personal development. By joining the social network of community members who care about a youth, the Tutor Mentor can help that youth develop and reach positive academic, career and personal goals. The commitment is not limited to one year and a long-term relationship is encouraged and supported. Our central location is 1112 W. Camelback Rd. Phoenix Arizona 85013. Our Mentors pick the child up from their foster placement and take them out in to the community to places like parks and libraries.

We match each volunteer with a foster child in the community to build a one-on-one relationship. Mentors pick up the child from their placement and take them out for a few hours. Sometimes it might be to go to the library to work on homework or maybe sometimes you can go see a movie or attend some sort of event around town. You can do pretty much anything - most of the kiddos are just desperate to get out of the house! Mentors are asked to spend at least 8 hours a month with the child. Some mentors will do a couple hours each week, some do longer visits every other week. The scheduling is very flexible and completely up to you and the child! The relationship is also for 1 year and this is to help the child have a consistent and stable role model in their life. If you're ready to make a difference, you can submit an application online (link below) and from there, we'll schedule you for an interview/orientation where we will discuss the program in more detail. http://arizonansforchildren. org/page/volunteer-application Questions? Arizonans for Children serves all of Maricopa County.
