Buffalo Hospital is looking for friendly, responsible and energetic people (16 ) that would like to volunteer at our hospital gift shop. We currently have openings Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Shifts are 4 1/2 hours long. Volunteers at Buffalo Hospital are very much appreciated and play a very important role as we serve our community. Duties include: To serve Gift Shop customers and assist them as needed. To assist on pricing gifts as needed as directed by Gift Shop Supervisor. To assist on ordering as needed and as directed by Gift Shop Supervisor. To assist on putting away weekly orders. To assist on displaying of merchandise and decorating the gift shop. To portray a friendly and customer service oriented environment in the Gift Shop and Hospital. To keep the Gift Shop neat and orderly. To stock items as needed. To open up or close down the gift shop, depending on shift worked. To use cash register and return change to customers. To maintain their own cash drawer and the cash bag daily. To complete a shift end cash receipts sheet daily. To attend training and orientation sessions as required for this position.

Guest Service Greeter Current openings are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Shifts are 4 hours long. This individual will greet patients and visitors as they enter the hospital. They will direct them to where they need to go and answer any basic questions. Provide wheelchair transportation as necessary. Greeters are the first point of contact for our patients, staff and visitors. This is volunteer opportunity is a great way to sharpen your people skills and learn more about the healthcare field. Greeters in the Same Day Surgery department will assist patient care staff by providing comfort items to patients and visitors.

Pet therapy visitors make a difference!

Therapy dog teams are needed in both inpatient and outpatient settings for a variety of ages and abilities - from the little kids up to adults! We work with you and your dog to find the right client matches. In the outpatient setting, the therapy dogs will be used as supplemental reinforcement for clients during their sessions in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Pet Therapy teams at Buffalo Hospital bring joy to patients and staff. Pet therapy benefits patients, staff, and even the therapy animals themselves. Pet Therapy visits provide: * Comfort and companionship * Reduce stress and anxiety * Improve mental and physical health * Increase socialization Flexible shifts available Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Come join the volunteer team at Buffalo Hospital.
