Mission Statement
Mission
Six covenant churches, four faith affiliates, and two faith partners, doing together what we cannot do alone. United in a common calling to respond to our neighbor’s needs in the city of Albany and beyond, as God’s servant people in a broken and hurting world.
Description
Our Work
The FOCUS feeding programs - FOCUS Interfaith Food Pantry, Breakfast Express, and FOCUS Winter Breakfast - are our primary efforts in an endeavor to help those in need by providing our community with good, nutritious food and hospitality. Along with food, FOCUS is intentional in balancing labors of charity with acts of justice by participating in the work of seeking long term solutions to end hunger and poverty.

At the "breakfast club" there were enough people there that were not working so I was told they did not need the volunteers right now. Prepared food thanks 36-2985 & H.
We do better w/o milk & eggs.
There were 40 men 5 female at the least going through the program, the majority were of color, with few white 1 or 2 without color eyes.
11 females and 3 males visibly working at the breakfast all of dark completion, this is a biological count not an identifying count. Program is run by a female lead role and a female vice both of dark completion and visibly no Anglo (Cacatian/White it changes to much for me to be P.C.) male volunteers which is not uncommon.
Is the demographic state that this is an equal opportunity for volunteer allowing those that cannot find work to obtain food stamps through volunteering 240 hours. In the event that they are not sanctioned. Sure.
Well with this many hospitals in the region it becomes a national security issue when family of caretakers get salty.
