Join Our Team as a Food Donation Driver! Position Title: Food Donation Driver Reports To: Lt. Cody Trimmer Purpose/Goal of Position: Make a tangible difference in your community by joining the Oceanside Corps, Community Center, as a Food Donation Driver! Your efforts will directly impact the lives of many by ensuring our food pantry is stocked with essential donations, helping those who might otherwise be unable to afford it. Duties/Responsibilities: Pick up donations from various grocery stores around Oceanside for our Food Pantry program. Move food boxes from the truck to the building, weigh them, and document their weight. Drive our truck (provided by us) to collect donations, sometimes with a staff member, sometimes solo. Qualifications/Skills/Certifications Needed: Confidentiality and boundaries: Maintain these as required and appropriate. Interpersonal skills: Work effectively with a culturally diverse staff and guests. Physical ability: Lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times throughout your shift. Driver’s license: Hold a current CA driver’s license with a good driving record. Clearance: Pass a required background check. Complete several online trainings, including a driving training. Ongoing Position: Duration: Commit to a minimum of 3-6 months. Available Schedules: Schedule: Choose between Mondays and/or Fridays (only one day per week required). Time: 6:30 AM to 11 AM.
