Become a Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate , responding to victims of sexual assault in all three counties in Delaware . Our intensive training prepares our volunteers with the knowledge and skills necessary to aid survivors of sexual assault. As a volunteer you will provide support, information, and referrals through telephone contact, and/or accompany victims to local hospitals, police stations, and court. You can also assist with outreach and presentations, if interested. ContactLifeline has locations in Wilmington and Milford and both offices have training opportunities.

ContactLifeline, in Wilmington, Delaware, has operated a 24/7 Crisis Helpline since 1974 responding to over 22,000 calls a year and has always primarily been staffed by volunteers. Our intensive training prepares our volunteers with the knowledge and skills necessary to aid callers experiencing varying levels of crisis. We also have advanced training opportunities to support incoming crisis chats, an instant messaging format. Outreach and presentation opportunities are offered, as well.

ContactLifeline is currently looking for new Board Members to join our team. We are a 24/7 Crisis Hotline that supports the state of Delaware. The Board of Directors meet monthly during the evening. ContactLifeline strives to provide the highest quality telephone counseling, crisis intervention, information and referral, education and prevention services for persons in crisis and for persons in need of listening services. Additionally, ContactLifeline provides comprehensive statewide services to victims of sexual assault and secondary victims of sexual assault. ContactLifeline crisis responder services are provided by professionally trained and supervised volunteers and professionals who respond anonymously and confidentially to human needs, state-wide, 24 hours a day.
