Maybury Farm: Farm Garden Volunteers

We are looking for some green thumbs who would like to help us with our Farm Garden! Annually, we create a garden to help us in our mission of educating and engaging kids and families with animals and agriculture. The hours are flexible and no previous experience is required. All tools will be provided. Dig in and join us! Opportunities from February-October. Volunteers must be 16 years old to volunteer at the farm.

Maybury Farm General Store Volunteer

Maybury Farm is an educational working farm located in Northville. We are open to the public March-October. In March the farm is open on the weekends for Maple Syrup. On April 11 the farm will open for the season and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Maybury Farm is looking for volunteers for the General Store. Training is simple and short and will provide you with what you need to know. Volunteers will help with greeting guests, helping behind the counter, handing out flyers, and other duties in the store. Volunteers are needed mostly on Saturdays and Sundays and some days during the week. Volunteers must be 16 years old to volunteer.

Maybury Farm: Farm Maintenance & Grounds

We are looking for volunteers who are handy with tools and machinery who want to help us out at Maybury Farm with general farm maintenance such as mending fences, landscaping, barn and building repairs and equipment maintenance. This opportunity is on an as-needed basis so there is alot of flexibility. We welcome volunteers who may have previous experience in farming, construction, welding, equipment maintenance, woodworking, etc. Come and join our Farm Volunteer Team!

Maybury Farm: Barn Farmhands

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in caring for the animals at Maybury Farm. We have over 60 farm animals including draft horses, donkeys, pigs, sheep, llamas, chickens, turkeys and ducks. Our animals need feeding and cleaning twice a day in the morning and afternoon. Available shifts on most days of the week. Volunteers must be able to be work in both the heat and the cold and be able to lift 15-20 pounds. If you love farms this is a great place to connect with animals or gain more experience in how to care for them. Join our awesome Farm Team! Volunteers must be 16 years old to volunteer at the farm.

Maybury Farm: Docent Volunteers

Maybury is an educational working farm located in Northville. We are open to the public April-October and offer educational tours to schools and preschools. Most tours are during the week in the morning. Docents will help our educational supervisor with the tours, no volunteers will do tours by themselves. Training is simple and short and will provide you with what you need to know. Help children learn about the farm animals, gardening, bees, or wildlife on the farm. This is a fun opportunity to be with children and share information all while being outside at the farm. We are looking for volunteers who are great at sharing information, love to interact with children, and enjoy being outside in the summer! Volunteers must be 18 years old to volunteer. Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.

The NCF administers nine investment funds that are designated for a variety of community needs. Interest earned each year is used to award grants to nonprofit organizations and programs that meet these community needs.

> Offers educational tours for schools, scouting troops, and various groups throughout SE Michigan

> Open to the public April-October

> Offers Summer Day Camp for kids 5-12 years old

> Story Time for Kids throughout the summer included with admission

> Fall Corn Maze fundraiser for the winter months

> Santa Visits in December
