Summary We are looking for 3 Teacher Assistants to support our afterschool program for diverse groups of ESL students in grades 2 and 3 at West Franklin Elementary School. The assistant will help promote enthusiasm for learning, support the lead teacher in adhering to LifeSmart Education’s curriculum standards, and assist in maintaining a positive classroom environment. Teacher Assistants must be physically present at the facility on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM, beginning January 2025, and continuing May. While it is an unpaid position, the Teacher Assistant may receive a monthly gift card as a token of appreciation. Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required. Duties/Responsibilities Assist the teacher with activities Teach scripted lessons to children in small groups Help clean up after the activities Requirements Be reliable, patient, and friendly Must be able to pass a background check Must be at least 21 years of age

Summary LifeSmart Education seeks to foster personal growth and development for young children with our new peer mentoring program. We are allowing children aged 11 to 16 to interact and listen to guidance from our trained volunteer mentors aged 12 to 22. The primary objective of the PeerMentor Program is to help teenagers aged 11 to 16 years old from underserved communities build self-confidence and resilience. The program aims to provide youths with the resources and support they need to overcome issues such as lack of motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. These issues often manifest as extreme shyness and can have a profound negative impact on the lives of young people. The mentoring program offers a variety of activities and resources designed to nurture teenagers’ personal growth, enrich their lives, and foster a sense of belonging. Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of teenagers? We are seeking volunteers to serve as mentors to middle school and high school students who are 2 to 3 years younger. We want mentors who have a good heart and a positive and helpful attitude. Mentors don't necessarily need to be excellent academically or athletically, but they should be willing to share their life experiences and offer helpful advice and be an active listeners. If you have a passion for helping young people, this is your chance to get involved and make a real difference in someone's life. Please note that parental consent is needed to serve as a mentor in the program.
