Interviewer - Virtual Volunteer Opportunity Do you have what it takes to be a good interviewer? As an online volunteer, you will be responsible for interviewing financial assistance applicants for Maya's Hope. Though this task may seem easy at first glance, conducting a thorough interview is a bit more complicated than asking candidates a few questions. Be ready to do all of the necessary due diligence! The volunteer interviewer will work in a team to review the application, conduct the interview, clarify data, investigate, and assess the potential case. Responsibilities: Understand the requirements and process of candidates selection; Plan and prepare for the interview; Research the applicant (review the application, applicant's FB page, video message, photos, etc.); Take and keep notes on the interviews; Assist in making an informed decision. A perfect candidate needs to: have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; have good organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks; be objective; be ready to deal with a diverse range of people; be persistent, but lead a conversation, not an interrogation; be self-aware of judgments you place upon candidates; possess the ability to deal with information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity. Role Overview As a volunteer translator, you’ll play a vital role in facilitating communication within our community. This position involves translating written messages between Tagalog and English within Facebook group chats to ensure everyone stays informed and connected. Key Responsibilities Translate messages, announcements, and conversations accurately between Tagalog and English. Maintain cultural sensitivity and ensure the original meaning and intent are preserved. Foster effective communication within the group by bridging language barriers. Qualifications Fluency in Tagalog and English with strong written communication skills in both languages. Ability to convey meaning clearly and with cultural nuance.
