Friendly Center is a non-profit in Orange County providing stability, opportunity, and hope to children and families in poverty. Our vision is to end the cycle of generational poverty in Orange County. Join us in strengthening families.
Description
WHO WE ARE:
Friendly Center has been helping less-fortunate children and their families move toward self-sufficiency for 95 years. This is done through over 20 programs and services. We provide life-changing assistance to more than 1,000 families each year.
WHAT WE DO:
We help the entire family with programs in education, food support, and mental health services. Our goal is to meet the needs a family may face, get them back on their feet, and prevent the cycle from continuing to the next generation.

Volunteered with Friendly Center as a tutor several years ago over the summer. Decided to intern with them earlier this year, but was given volunteer work instead. I contacted the ones who gave me the position, but never received a response. And when I did, they completely dodged my question (I wanted to know why I was given volunteer work and not an internship position). So I pretty much left after that. New management isn't very good. I enjoyed my time with previous management.
