Are you detailed oriented? Do you like making spreadsheets? Can you follow a paper trail? Then we want to meet you! Lake Minnetonka Shores Model Railroad group is looking for a volunteer for a special project. This could be a great project for anyone going to school for logistics, technical writing or need volunteer hours to maintain accreditation with organizations such as PMI and APM. The volunteer hours are very flexible as you can volunteer remotely after an initial onsite meeting. We need a volunteer to turn paper into electronic, decisions into history, information into a history guide for the future. All Presbyterian Homes & Services volunteers are required to complete a volunteer profile as well as complete online training. Looking for a volunteer to lead our Women's Book Club beginning in September. The volunteer facilitator will: Responsibilities: · Take the leadership role in facilitating monthly book club meetings with residents. · Communicate with residents about up coming meetings and advise on book club selections. · Work with Library Special Request Coordinator in ordering books for monthly book club · Research questions to facilitate book club discussion. · Keep track of reading lists and materials. Find ways to include fresh ideas and enlist new members Qualifications/Skills/Requirements: · Must be at least 18 years of age · Love to read · Self-directed and able to work well with others · Good interpersonal and organizational skills · Possess leadership skills · Lead relevant book discussions · Knowledge of Hennepin County Library online system is helpful but not necessary Time Commitment/Hours: · Monthly meetings for one hour plus prep time as listied above (average 3-6 hours monthly) · Time spent organizing and ordering materials varies each month with some work that can be done from home. Bring smiles to our residents at Lake Minnetonka Shores! Resident visitors are wanted to do just that, visit. Bring smiles and laughter to our residents by spending time with them on a weekly basis.
