Colony Cats has adoptable cats & kittens located inside Petco's Easton Gateway store. We are currently seeking an adult volunteer to clean, feed, water & socialize/play with the cats every other Sundays. The duties typically take 1 to 1 1/2 hours and you can go any time during store hours. If you live or work in the Easton area and can care for our homeless kitties, email us. Training will be provided. When emailing us please indicate you are interested in our Easton location. Must be comfortable being on a step stool to reach the higher cages and on your knees for the low cages..

Colony Cats is an all volunteer animal rescue with cats available for adoption at the Petco Easton Gateway store. We are seeking a lead volunteer for this location. The duties include: Coordinate and transport cats between the store and the adoption center (located in Dublin). Manage a team of volunteers who clean store's cat condos, interact and socialize cats, and speak with individuals interested in adopting the cats located at this store location through Colony Cats. Trains new volunteers as needed. Ensures proper communication and daily cleaning of cat condos at the store and be a central point of escalation for any needs, including medical needs for any cats. Maintains open communication with volunteers to ensure proper care of cats, including special care or medical needs. Ensures cat paperwork is maintained and correct and refills supplies as needed. Communicates with Application Processing Team, as needed, during the application process. Coordinates with approved adopters and completes adoptions for approved adopters. Transports paperwork to the adoption center on a regular basis. Facilitates a good working relationship with store staff and manager to ensure quality care for the cats and coordination of adoption events.

Volunteers needed to assist our rescue in caring for homeless cats at our cage free adoption center. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all volunteer, no-kill animal welfare organization. We are seeking volunteers to assist at our cage-free adoption center, volunteer at our off-site adoption events, care/clean our cats in our intake/sick bay areas, take professional photographs of our adoptables, and fundraising events. We're in need of reliable, animal loving people to join us in helping end the animal abuse and neglect in the Columbus community. We help with support for feral cat colonies (t-n-r) and promote pet adoption.

Position Summary: The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for managing and organizing the flow of all documentation related to the intake and care of cats at the shelter. This role ensures that all records are accurately maintained and easily accessible to staff volunteers. Key Responsibilities: Document Management: Organize and maintain all paperwork related to cat intake, medical records, etc. Data Entry: Input and update information in the shelter’s database, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Coordination: Work closely with other volunteers and staff to ensure all necessary forms are completed and filed correctly. Compliance: Ensure all documentation complies with local regulations and shelter policies. Communication: Serve as one of the points of contact for any paperwork-related inquiries from staff, volunteers, and adopters. Training: Assist in training new volunteers on proper documentation procedures. Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using computer systems and databases. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar role or in a shelter environment is a plus, but not required. Time Commitment: Minimum of 3 hours per week, with a flexible schedule. Responsible, reliable volunteers are needed daily (M-F starting at 9am and S/S starting at 8:30 am) until approximately noon. Volunteers will be taught how to safely and effectively clean the adoption center (scooping litter boxes, sweeping, mopping, window-washing, laundry, feeding and watering the cats) While cleaning you are able to socialize with the cage free cats as well. This commitment can be weekly or less often based on your schedule. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Volunteer opportunities are also available to care for the cats in our intake/sick bay area. These hours are more flexible (morning or afternoon/evening).
