McLaren Hospice is in search of individuals who are crafty and wish to share their creations with our patients. We would like to work with individuals or groups that love to crochet, knit, sew or quilt such things as: blankets, shawls, hats, booties and pillows. We are also looking for people who do scrapbooking, Cricut designs, making cards, holiday decorations and other crafts for our hospice patients. If you are a member of a group that does this type of thing or simply enjoy doing this on your own and would like to donate your creations to our patients, please contact Suzanne.Maurer@mclaren.org There is not a better way to let someone know that they are cared about then to give them a personal hand crafted gift or surprise!

McLaren Hospice is looking for compassionate people to sit with our patients during the active dying process and to provide a caring presence at the bedside. Your presence during the last days of a hospice patient's life can help to provide a peaceful transition from life to death. A Vigil Volunteer may provide companionship by simply being present with the patient who is dying without family members or friends available. They may also provide support to family members sitting at the bedside of their loved one. Please contact Suzanne Maurer at Suzanne.Maurer@mclaren.org for more information.
