We're Seeking Volunteers for Small Group Digital Literacy Workshops! Help us lead small group workshops (4-6 adults) on essential digital literacy topics. Workshops are 60-90 minutes long and cover topics such as: Intro to Gmail Intro to Google Drive iPhone/Android Smartphone Basics Intro to Searching Online These workshops are an exciting expansion of our existing no-cost, one-on-one digital literacy services at public sites across Madison County. What You'll Do: Facilitate small group sessions using pre-prepared content and materials. Make a difference by helping adults enhance their digital skills. Help Adults in Your Community with Essential Digital Skills- Volunteer with LiteracyCNY! LiteracyCNY is seeking a dedicated volunteer to assist with our Digital Literacy Program at Frank J. Basloe Library in Herkimer County. Help adults in your community learn essential computer, smartphone, and tablet skills by volunteering with LiteracyCNY! Commitment Details: Time commitment: Volunteer once a week for 3 hours Duration: 6 months or more Location: Frank J. Basloe Library, Herkimer County This volunteer opportunity is organized through LiteracyCNY's Digital Literacy Program, though your assigned location will be the Herkimer Basloe Library. What You'll Do: Work one-on-one with individuals to learn improve their digital literacy skills such as device operation, internet navigation, and using common software like email Assist community members using their own devices or a laptop provided by LiteracyCNY Requirements: Complete our Digital Literacy Volunteer Training to learn about the program's goals, the communities we serve, and how you can make an impact.
