We're Seeking Volunteers for Small Group Digital Literacy Workshops!
Help us lead small group workshops (4-6 adults) on essential digital literacy topics. Workshops are 60-90 minutes long and cover topics such as:
- Intro to Gmail
- Intro to Google Drive
- iPhone/Android Smartphone Basics
- Intro to Searching Online
These workshops are an exciting expansion of our existing no-cost, one-on-one digital literacy services at public sites across Madison County.
What You'll Do:
- Facilitate small group sessions using pre-prepared content and materials.
- Make a difference by helping adults enhance their digital skills.
Requirements:
- Complete our Digital Literacy Volunteer Training to learn about the program's goals, the communities we serve, and how you can make an impact.

Our Mission is to improve the reading, English language, math and digital literacy skills of adults in Central New York. Our trained volunteers support participants in achieving their personal goals to fully participate in the community as citizens, parents, consumers and workers.
Description
Through the use of one-to-one tutoring, small group classes, conversation groups, drop-in or appointment-based computer help, and online learning tools and resources LiteracyCNY uses volunteers to help members of the community to increase their skills in reading, math, English language, and digital literacy so that they are able to fully engage in life as parents, workers, consumers, and citizens.
Please note: All volunteers must be at least 18 years old, fluent in English, and have completed high school or the equivalent. Tutoring opportunities are available in Onondaga County. Digital Literacy Volunteer opportunities are available in Onondaga, Madison, Oneida, and Herkimer Counties.
