Small Group Opportunity - Provide a Meal to the homeless!

This opportunity is ideal for small groups looking to give time and resources to the shelter. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN GROUP OF 3-5 POEPLE. Come feed the homeless! Grab a small team of co-workers, a faith group, family or friends and provide a meal at the Arlington Life Shelter. Each night, the Arlington Life Shelter provides a place to stay and the basic needs for 120 residents. We provide a hot meal and warm bed to those in our community in need. Volunteer food teams generously plan out the meal, donate the food, prepare and serve it each night to our clients. We need Volunteer Food Teams to provide a meal. Great opportunity for groups of 3-5; individuals must be at least 15 years old to participate. All food is purchased by the team and brought to the shelter where your team cooks and serves a buffet style meal. Opportunities to do this are monthly, bi-monthly and on a one-time basis. Not sure what to prepare? Our kitchen staff is happy to provide guidance and direction as needed. Pick up food donations and help feed the homeless!

Help the Arlington Life Shelter feed the homeless by picking up donated food from other non-profits and local restraunts/stores. Volunteer drivers are needed to pick up items from the Tarrant County area and deliver them to the shelter. Multiple shifts available during the week. Must have your own care or truck with storage capacity, liability coverage for your vehicle, and be able to lift 25 lbs.

Description

Arlington Life Shelter provides shelter and meals, individualized case management services, employment services, adult education, children's activities, transitional housing assistance, pregnancy and new mother wellness program, substance abuse case management, welfare to work case management, and recreational and social activities.
