As an Outdoor Program Instructor, you will be at the heart of Outdoor Life Leadership's mission by providing hands-on survival skills training to young men. This role is crucial in fostering confidence, leadership, and teamwork through immersive outdoor experiences. You'll lead sessions in skills like camping, fire-starting, shelter-building, and nature safety, helping participants apply these lessons to real-world challenges. Key Responsibilities: Lead outdoor workshops and activities focused on survival skills, nature safety, and disaster preparedness. Teach practical techniques such as fire-starting, shelter construction, and navigation. Mentor participants in developing leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to best practices and safety protocols. Inspire confidence in young men by challenging them to push their limits in a supportive environment. Assist in planning and setting up outdoor events, including the annual Outdoor Life Expo. Qualifications: Experience in outdoor education, survival skills, or wilderness training. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work with young men in an engaging, motivational, and supportive manner. CPR/First Aid certification (preferred). Availability to attend in-person sessions and events (primarily outdoors).
