We are seeking dedicated, non-experienced and experienced individuals to join the Board of Directors for Outdoor Life Leadership. As a volunteer-based board member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization by providing strategic guidance, ensuring financial stability, and supporting our mission to empower young men through outdoor leadership programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Governance and Oversight: Ensure the organization operates in alignment with its mission, vision, and values; monitor overall performance.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with fellow board members and leadership to set and evaluate long-term goals and strategies.
• Fundraising and Resource Development: Leverage personal networks to secure sponsorships, donations, and grants.
• Financial Stewardship: Oversee financial health, approve budgets, and ensure sound financial practices.
• Legal and Ethical Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Leadership and Support: Provide guidance to the executive director and staff, contributing expertise in areas like finance, marketing, and law.
• Advocacy and Representation: Promote the organization’s mission and programs within the community and among stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience in nonprofit governance, fundraising, or financial oversight.
• Passion for youth development and outdoor leadership.
• Ability to commit time and effort to support the organization's mission and goals.
