We are seeking a passionate Outreach and Fundraising Volunteer to help BrightUp Kids expand its reach and raise essential funds to support our mission. This volunteer will work closely with the leadership team to build partnerships, engage with potential donors, and create fundraising campaigns. Location: Remote Type: Volunteer Position Commitment: Approx. 20 hours per week Key Responsibilities Outreach: Identify and build relationships with potential partners, sponsors, and community organizations. Assist in expanding BUK’s network by reaching out to local businesses, schools, and libraries. Attend and represent BUK at community events (virtual or in-person, if possible). Fundraising: Assist in developing and executing creative fundraising campaigns (online and offline). Help identify potential grant opportunities and assist with grant applications. Organize small-scale fundraising events or initiatives (e.g., virtual donation drives, sponsorships). Maintain donor relationships through regular communication and appreciation initiatives. Marketing and Communication: Collaborate with the communications team to create outreach and fundraising materials (emails, flyers, social media content). Promote fundraising campaigns on social media and other platforms. Requirements: Candidates must be proficient in Mandarin. Passion for Nonprofits and Education: Enthusiastic about BrightUp Kids’ mission and willing to support its growth. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage with potential donors, partners, and the community in a professional and compelling manner. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and communication streams. Fundraising Knowledge (preferred but not required): Experience with fundraising, sponsorships, or donor relations is a plus. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital platforms for outreach (e.g., social media, email marketing, Google Drive). BUK is launching an exciting new online Spanish learning program for children aged 3-6. The program will provide basic introductory Spanish lessons to young learners every Sunday from 11:00 AM to 11:20 AM (EST). We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to support this program's successful execution. Location: Remote Type: Volunteer Position Commitment: Approx. 20 hours per week Key Responsibilities: Program Coordination: Work with the Program Lead to coordinate online classes, ensuring smooth scheduling, communication, and preparation for each session. Volunteer Support: Coordinate with other volunteers, such as language instructors, to ensure all program needs are met. Communication: Act as a liaison between the instructor, volunteers, and parents to provide updates and handle inquiries. Material Management: Manage and update the program folder on Google Drive, ensuring all resources, materials, and schedules are up to date. Event Promotion: Assist with promoting the program on social media, collaborating with the marketing team to share updates and drive engagement.
