"You will find, as you look back on your life, that the moments that stand out are the moments when you have done things for others." - Henry Drummond Minis With A Mission is seeking volunteers, with or without equine experience, to continue to bring healing and joy to people by connecting hands, hearts, and hooves. Our strongest need is for volunteers to assist us with our busy schedule of events that features our rescued mini horses, mini donkeys, and standard size donkeys. Our animals touch the lives of children and adults, both able-bodied or with cognitive, social, and physical disabilities. We travel to schools, nursing homes, hospices, veterans’ homes, facilities dedicated to drug or alcohol recovery, and holiday fairs on the North Shore and in greater Boston. Events are held during the week and on weekends. Event support involves grooming the animals at their home barns in either Ipswich or Newbury, Massachusetts and then traveling to the event site. Each event is unique, but animal handlers are needed to ensure the safety of our herd and all those attending. We have a dedicated training program that will show you how to interact with the animals with bonding efforts including grooming, haltering, and going on short walks. At our events volunteers are also needed to promote our cause through face-to-face interaction with the public and by selling merchandise. If your schedule doesn’t enable you to attend our events, we welcome assistance in performing farm chores for our mini donkeys in Newbury when you are ready and able! Our second pressing priority is promoting our non-profit organization and finding sources of financial support. Do you have social media or marketing experience? Have you ever worked in development? Your contributions are welcomed as we continue to do our best to spread the word about the benefits of equine therapy and how you might help us continue to touch lives.

To bring healing and joy to people by connecting hands, hearts, and hooves. Minis With a Mission(MWAM) is all volunteer run. We have 7 animals that are the stars of the show. Our mini horses (Romeo, Pixie and Fluffernutter) our mini donkeys (Bucko & Flossy) and our standard size donkeys (Kitty & Emma) are all trained to interact with adults and children of all ages. We operate all over the NorthShore of MA and have a travel radius beyond the NorthShore for certain events. We are seeking volunteers who can work with our animals out of their barns (Ipswich, MA and Newbury, MA) and volunteers who can join us on our schedule of events with clients from the NorthShore to the greater Boston area.
