Bring your Mailchimp and social media experience and make a difference in our organization. The LIGHT programs includes classes, retreats, workshops, and trainings. LIGHT is located in Denver, Colorado, but this opportunity is virtual. The number of hours and schedule are flexible. Possible duties of this volunteer position include: Managed and update information in Mailchimp. Assisting with the mangement of social media. Creating and assist with marketing campaigns related to fundraising and publicity. This individual will not supervise others. LIGHT (Love in Grief, Held Together) Movement is looking for an individual to assist in spreading the word about LIGHT programs including classes, retreats, workshops, and trainings. LIGHT is located in Denver, Colorado, but this opportunity is virtual. The number of hours and schedule are flexible. Possible duties of this volunteer position include: Contacting mental health and grief support organizations to provide information about relevant programs. Contacting universities and other education programs at which students study social work, psychology, and healthcare to encourage attendance at trainings at which they can earn continuing education units. Coordinating with partnership sites to ensure that programs are being taught effectively and in alignment with the partner's preferences. This volunteer should feel free to share LIGHT with organizations with whom the volunteer identifies such as veteran support groups, assisted living facilities, LGBTQ+ support groups, and others. LIGHT Movement is still developing its fundraising strategy. However, because the mission is focused on helping people through grief, we have a strong position to begin a planned giving program. We are looking for someone to work with the Co-Executive Director and other development teammembers to spearhead this initiative. LIGHT is located in Denver, Colorado, but this opportunity is virtual. The number of hours and schedule are flexible. Possible duties of this volunteer position include: Leading a group in building the planned giving program and campaign. Assisting with planning the strategic use of resources in fundraising, especially campaigning. Providing expertise to help our website developer build pages that assist donors understand planned giving. If this person became a long-term volunteer, we would appreicate further support and providing expertise in cultivating deeper relationships with donors who are interested in planned giving. Ensuring that volunteers provide evidence of background checks and similar documentation when required. Checking in with volunteers to answer questions, help them meet their goals, and coordinate with the executive director and/or partnership sites when needed.
