The journey of grief can be a lonely road to walk alone. Volunteer a small amount of your time to make 6 and 12 month check-in calls to families who have recently had a loved one die. After a patient passes, Accent Care Hospice of Meridian offers support to their loved ones for at least 13 months following the loss. We do this in hopes to ease the pain loved ones experience as they walk along the path of grief. Bereavement Check-In Call Volunteers support the grief needs of low-risk family members, friends, and members of the community. Specific training will be provided. Qualifying applicants are U.S. Citizens that are 15 years of age or older and able to pass a health screen, background check, and drug test. Notice: Our volunteer opportunities require in-person completion of some hiring modules and training during the onboarding process. Applicants should consider this requirement upon application and be able to accommodate. AccentCare Hospice of Meridian is seeking compassionate volunteers to help brighten the lives of our patients/families. Whether you are playing music for our patients, praying with them, making supportive phone calls to bereaved families, or sewing memory bears, you can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. While you are brightening our patients’ lives you might find that your life becomes brighter too! AccentCare Hospice of Meridian serves patients and families in your area. We are currently seeking new volunteers to provide a wide variety of services to our patients and their loved ones. Our direct care volunteers visit with patients wherever they call home to provide companionship and socialization. Music companions use the power of music to enhance the quality of our patients ’ lives. Spiritual companions share their faith with patients of the same religious background and complement the services of our chaplains. Legacy project volunteers assist patients and families with creating meaningful projects to honor the patients’ life. Vigil volunteers provide supportive presence at the bedside of patients who are actively dying . These are just a few of the ways volunteers in our organization support our patients, families, and staff. Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team and support our mission of offering compassionate, personalized hospice care. Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule and you can choose what area you want to serve. Students age 15 and up are encouraged to join us as indirect volunteers or can buddy with another trained volunteer ( teen or adult) to make in-person visits to patients in facilities . We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find ways to share your talents with those at the end of life.

Use your compassion and talents to make a DIFFERENCE! Circle of Care Volunteers call home care patients or their caregivers each week to check on their needs prior to the weekend. Volunteers follow a phone script, assisting them to identify patient needs such as medication refills, supplies, or equipment that need to be addressed. As a Circle of Care Volunteer, you'll contribute to a collaborative, proactive approach in caring for terminally ill patients and their families. After training and education, the calls may be made from your home or your local AccentCare(r)office. Qualifying applicants are U.S. Citizens that are 15 years of age or older and able to pass a health screen, background check, and drug test. AccentCare Hospice is seeking compassionate, creative volunteers to help brighten the lives of our patients. Whether you knit, sew, sing, play an instrument, or enjoy doing crafts, you can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. While you are brightening our patients’ lives you might find that your life becomes brighter too! AccentCare Hospice, formerly Seasons Hospice, serves patients and families in your area. We are currently seeking new creative volunteers to provide a wide variety of services to our patients and their loved ones. Musically inclined volunteers can directly visit our patients to share their talents, assist with music at our annual memorial service, or perform at a facility event where our patients reside. Volunteers who enjoy crafting can visit our patients to work on individual craft projects together, assist with creative legacy projects, or participate in art activities with our patients in senior living communities. They can also share their gifts at our office, making decorations, bulletin boards, flyers, etc. Volunteers with a gift for sewing, knitting or crocheting can make blankets, memory bears or pillows, fidget blankets, or other handmade items for our patients and their loved ones. These are just a few of the ways volunteers in our organization support our patients, families, and staff. Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team and support our mission of offering compassionate, personalized hospice care. Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule and you can choose what area you want to serve. Students age 15 and up are encouraged to join us as office volunteers or can buddy with another trained teen or adult to make in-person visits to patients in facilities. Whether you are assisting with a veteran pinning ceremony, attending veteran-centered events our team organizes, or directly visiting veteran patients for companionship, you can make a difference in the lives of hospice patients. While you are brightening your fellow veterans’ lives you might find that your life becomes brighter too! AccentCare Hospice serves patients and families in your area. We are currently seeking new veteran volunteers to provide a wide variety of services to our patients and their loved ones. Our vet-to-vet volunteers visit patients wherever they call home to provide companionship and socialization. They may assist with legacy projects to honor the patients’ life or sit vigil and provide a supportive presence at the bedside of patients who are actively dying. Veteran volunteers also help our team honor veterans through pinning ceremonies and events in the community. These are just a few of the ways veteran volunteers in our organization support our patients, families, and staff. Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team and support our mission of offering compassionate, personalized hospice care. Training is free and flexible to fit your schedule and you can choose what area you want to serve.
