The journey of grief can be a lonely road to walk alone.
Volunteer a small amount of your time to make 6 and 12 month check-in calls to families who have recently had a loved one die. After a patient passes, Accent Care Hospice of Meridian offers support to their loved ones for at least 13 months following the loss.
We do this in hopes to ease the pain loved ones experience as they walk along the path of grief.
Bereavement Check-In Call Volunteers support the grief needs of low-risk family members, friends, and members of the community. Specific training will be provided.
Qualifying applicants are U.S. Citizens that are 15 years of age or older and able to pass a health screen, background check, and drug test.
Notice: Our volunteer opportunities require in-person completion of some hiring modules and training during the onboarding process. Applicants should consider this requirement upon application and be able to accommodate.
Other Volunteer Opportunities include:
- Direct Patient Care
- Caregiver Relief
- Office Support
- Pet Therapy
- Vigil Volunteer
- and more!
