The State of Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long Term Care has a Volunteer Ombudsman Program. Our program is looking for compassionate volunteers to spend 1-3 hours a week at a local nursing home visiting with residents. Ombudsmen are advocates for the residents and are the "eyes and ears" of the Regional Ombudsman. You will at times, be the "voice" of a resident with concerns or help the resident resolve any concerns on their own. Volunteers are provided ongoing training and an orientation to their facility. This position is very flexible and can fit around any schedule. If you would like to work with and assist this vulnerable population, please call us today! 1-800-815-0015.
